Goldfinches

The Goldfinch.

One of the most attractive and charming finches an appropriate adjective since a flock of Goldfinches was once known as a "charm".  Once popular with the cage bird trade, Goldfinches are holding there own in the modern world.  Feeds mainly on tiny seeds, removed from plants using its specially pointed and conical bill.  In recent years has taken to feeding on sun flower seeds from artificial feeders.
